Welcome to the organisers wiki for Young Rewired State 2010. 

Young Rewired State events will be taking place across the country, providing opportunities for small groups of young people to work alongside experienced developers to create amazing things using government data.

Things that need doing (add items here):

• GET MORE KIDS SIGNED UP!!!
• Fund raising - sponsors for travel for mentors and the Friday event
• T-Shirts
• Get more businesses on board
• Assign the central sign ups to businesses 
• Find mentors - I have asked Christian from Yahoo, who else?
• Find a place in London to do the show and tell - Guardian? Engine on great Portland Street are doing this
• Create a quick promotional video (I've put some photos from last year into an Animoto - but if someone had time to mix some images from 2009, with quick talking heads from Emma/Dan & one of the YP who was involved, and some screen-shots of the creations, I reckon that would be a very handy tool for explaining what YRS is about... TD) (That sounds really good EM) (sounds like a brilliant idea, I'd be happy to be the YP from last year's YRS. Elliot) 

Things that might be useful:

• Hosting space for young coders - I've noticed at past events that young coders often have limited access to their own servers / space with shell access etc; or that space they have is not always stable / long term available. How would we provide space for YP who don't have their own available? - I believe that Osmosoft are going to be looking at this (EM). MySociety may also be able to help.
• Rewired State Ideas Generator
